Jim “Action Boy” King leads Sans Gear NZ with over 20-years experience as Creative Consultant, Creative Director and Technical Consultant with ideation, concepts, design, development, technical, themed fabrication, special effects, contracts, negotiations and execution of cross-over, eventive marketing /branding for themed entertainment, motion picture, TV, toy and music industries. Jim is a natural-born explorer with a compass as his guide, is an outdoor enthusiast, fisherman, an experience junkie, loves to hike, nature, travel, go camping, ride his bike, explore the outdoors, National Parks and wildlife sightings. Mr. King studied at the Rhode Island School of Design, Commercial Arts /Graphic Design, where he was awarded the RISD Book Award.  Interesting tidbit: Jim has the unique distinction of having a “G.I. Joe” named after him – “James King, Mudfighter Pilot”.

JAN “Adventure Girl” SHAW has been an outdoor adventurer and naturalist all her life. For Sans Gear NZ, Jan oversees creative Adventuretainment projects, IP and brand development, new business, marketing/sales, master planning, video/series production, and studio liaison for licensed IP’s.  Her love for the great outdoors was instilled as a young girl when camping with her family and Girl Scouts. She spent summers at the beach on Cape Cod, and raised her own children on campouts, with a sense of natural wonder and outdoor adventure. Jan loves to trek and explore on wilderness adventures, go canoeing, fishing, ride her bike and hike. She canoed 75-miles down the Chattaneeka River, deep in the Alaskan interior, and Alaskan wilderness fishing trip; camped under giant Redwoods in Big Sur, California. She hiked mountain trails in California, and rode horseback in the Colorado Rockies. Jan spent her 20-year career producing, writing and directing television series, working with major studios and networks in Los Angeles, New York and Orlando to develop motion pictures and TV series. She has expanded into Themed Entertainment as Producer, Creative Writer, Concept Designer, Attractions Project Developer, Master Planner, Project Coordinator, Marketing and Proposals/Contracts. She was trained by Universal Studios engineers and designers in all phases of project and attraction design development. While working for themed fabrication vendors, she became knowledgeable in fabrication, technical applications, design, project and proposals/contract writing, management, and coordination, interior/exterior themed design, exhibitry. Throughout her career, Jan has worked with leading companies on projects and attractions, to name a few: Walt Disney, Universal Studios, Universal Studios Japan, Busch Entertainment, SeaWorld, SONY, Paramount, Columbia Tri-Star TV, Nickelodeon, ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX TV, Twentieth Century Fox, Warner Bros., Warner Bros. Animation, The Travel Channel, Discovery Channel, Guinness World Records San Antonio Museum, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not!, NASA Kennedy Space Center Visitor Center. She has been a driving force in the master planning, design and development of several multi-billion dollar theme park resorts, ride and show attractions, special events, museum exhibitry and special projects, as well as multimedia and design, and is an accomplished Special FX Producer of 3D/4D experience ride films and attractions. Jan is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Women In Film, Themed Entertainment Association, IAAPA, Toastmasters International, the Sierra Club, National Wildlife Federation, and Western Women Artists Association. Ms Shaw holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management /Marketing, University of Phoenix Southern California; Associates in Art w/High Honors, Fine Art /Graphic Design Illustration, Finger Lakes Community College, New York.

JB "Stunt Guy" BARRY , outdoorsman and avid camper for over 40 years, has had a love for the outdoors since he was a child.  At 11-years-old, he cruised around Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island in a 12’ aluminum boat and a 7 ½ HP Mercury engine. When he grew older, he camped in the National Parks, from Florida to California to Maine, in three and a half months.  He eventually fell in love with extreme feats, such as: sky diving and stunts, and became a precision stunt driving instructor, turning cars (and students) into 90-, 360- and a maximum of 540-degree spins! JB brings his professional expertise to Sans Gear NZ in project management, organization, planning, project operations, procedures, stunt coordination, risk management and logistics. JB’s 25-years of experience in Entertainment includes: 14-yrs of national and international theme parks, off-Broadway productions, stage and live stunt show productions. JB’s introduction to theme-park entertainment began in Tokyo, Japan where he opened Sanrio Puroland theme-park as a Production Manager for Landmark Entertainment. He rehearsed both Japanese and American cast members into the premiere show for Sanrio’s grand opening, and provided overall project definition, planning, and execution of the entertainment leg of install. JB was Area Manager of Entertainment for Universal Studios Orlando. He was responsible and accountable for four “live” entertainment venues; the“Wild Wild Wild West Stunt Show” attraction where he managed daily operations, planned and maintained operations budgets, scheduling, rehearsals, streamlined procedures, trained actors and stunts. As Area Manager for “Beatlejuice Graveyard Review”, JB managed operations and all aspects of the live stage show; as well as for the “Lagoon Stunt Spectacular”, a live stunt show utilizing numerous Wellcraft boats on the Universal Lagoon. JB also initiated a 5 year Sponsorship with Kawasaki and developed and created another stunt show on the lagoon using 15 of the latest Kawasaki Jet Skis and watercraft for additional value added guest experience.  For Walt Disney World Entertainment, JB was Production Manager for the entertainment install of high profile venues such as: “Fantasmic!” and “Lights, Motors, Action Extreme Stunt Show” at the Disney MGM-Studios. He was responsible for casting, training and rehearsal logistics, facilitation of training timelines and curriculums for stunt drivers. He developed all safety programs and Standard Operating Procedures for the facility, stunt trainers, performance drivers, crew, and training. He also was integral in the risk assessment of all precision driving stunts.  JB is a member of AEA Actors Equity Association. Mr. Barry holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Theater Arts Management, Emerson College, Boston, MA.

Freddy and Carol Osler, Directors of Osler Entertainment LLC (OE) and Aktion AttraktioNZ, specialize in the design, fabrication and marketing of Leisure and Entertainment products, the development and operation of amusement parks, and the creative production of theatrical and circus shows.  OE was launched in 2005 with the principle objective of creating a range of innovative amusement park attractions for sale and distribution to agencies and park operators, and to develop their own amusement park in Paihia, Bay of Islands, New Zealand, Action World adventure park opened in December 2005. Freddy upgraded new innovative technologies into the award-winning attractions in 2006 and 2007.  Osler Entertainment is currently expanding operations with the design, development and operation of a second Action World Park near Auckland, New Zealand.

Freddy and Carol’s career within the entertainment and tourism industry spans over forty years, during which time they toured and performed as #1 World Champion Trapeze Artists, the famous “Flying Oslers” with the world’s premier circuses, Weber Bros. Circus and Ringling Bros/Barnum Bailey Circus.  They have written, produced, directed and marketed shows for circus, theatre and theme parks, including the celebrated and award-winning Atlantis Marine Park in Western Australia.  Winners of the ‘Flying Trapeze’ World Championships, London and Monte Carlo, Freddy and Carol have appeared in 5 Royal Command Performances for various European royalties, and were major contributors to the winning of the prestigious American Express International ‘Golden Globe’ Award for Marketing Excellence for Atlantis Marine Park.

In 2007, OE and Sans Gear NZ (SGNZ) formed a strategic alliance for SGNZ to market, distribute and manage exclusive marketing and sales of Aktion AttraktioNZ™ and Krush KushioNZ® throughout North America, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, U.S. Territories, and extensive global outreach.SGNZ and OE are teaming together to develop Action World Park franchises throughout North America, and throughout the World. In addition, SGNZ holds the exclusive on stunt bags and fire safety rescue.
